What is Import Export Code (IEC)?

Import Export Code (IEC) is a 10-digit unique identification number issued by the Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT), Ministry of Commerce, Government of India. It is mandatory for any business or individual who wants to import or export goods and services from India.

Lifetime Validity: IEC has lifetime validity and does not require renewal. However, annual updation on DGFT portal is now mandatory.
